Ghanaian content creator Kaly Kaly has confirmed how much he charges for his viral birthday shoutouts. Appearing on streamer Kweku Addo’s livestream in Accra on August 1, he disclosed that a single video costs GH₵2,000. It’s the first time he has publicly stated a figure, after months of speculation that put his rate at GH₵900.

When Kweku Addo pressed him on the price, Kaly Kaly said it’s all about the energy. The TikTok star, who has over 500,000 followers, explained that each jingle takes a lot of physical effort and hype. According to him, the dancing, singing, and excitement he puts into every birthday video is what makes the GH₵2,000 worth it.

A clip from the stream was shared on Twitter by creator X Ghana and pulled in over 2,500 viewers at the same time. In the broadcast, Kaly Kaly sat with Kweku Addo and three other guests. They were all wearing matching “No Weapon Formed Against Me Shall Prosper” t-shirts and white caps, in a studio set up with pink and black office chairs.

Kaly Kaly’s rise has been fast. He became a household name in Ghana after his catchy birthday jingle blew up across social media. The song made him one of the most talked-about creators in the country. When fans found out he was now monetizing the format with paid commissions, the reaction was mostly positive, with many praising him for turning the trend into a business.
