Ruger Claps Back After TikToker Says He ‘Gats Die’ Over His Lyrics
Nigerian singer Ruger is firing back after a TikTok user wished him dead over his music.
The drama started when a female TikToker criticized one of Ruger’s songs, calling it “misogynistic and homophobic.”
In a viral video, the lady didn’t hold back. Speaking in Pidgin, she said, “Ruger gats die na the only thing wey fit help my mental health.”
Ruger saw the clip and reposted it on his X page. He rejected the death wish but also decided to clap back. “I think I get a pass for her wishing me dead,” he wrote.
The ‘Asiwaju’ crooner went further, telling the TikToker to focus elsewhere. “So apologies to the feminists and body positivity activists. But this girl is worried about the wrong thing. Instead of her to be worried about her high intake of okpa. She is on the verge of getting a triple chin,” he added.
The exchange has since sparked debate online, with fans divided over the criticism of Ruger’s lyrics and his blunt response.
