TikTok creator Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, better known as Jarvis, has addressed the rumors around her shaved hair. After her wedding, many people online claimed she barbed her hair as part of traditional marriage rites. Jarvis has now come out to debunk that story.

In a video shared after the ceremony, Jarvis said she was happy and proud of both herself and her husband. She thanked fans for their love and support but also used the moment to clear the air about her new haircut.

According to her, the decision had nothing to do with culture or tradition. She explained that her hair stylist actually advised her to cut it. “For those of you speculating that I barbed my hair for my wedding as part of some tribal marriage rites, shut up,” she said in the clip.

Jarvis added that her main reason was to make her hair installation look better. She described her natural hair as “very stubborn” and said her frontal and other styles had not been sitting properly because of it. Cutting it down was the best way to get a clean and perfect install.

The creator wrapped up by saying the wedding was finally over and she was just focused on enjoying this new chapter. For Jarvis, the haircut was a style choice recommended by her stylist, not a cultural requirement.
