American boxer Floyd Mayweather has been sued by a Nigerian company, Zinni Media
He was scheduled to make appearances in Ghana and Nigeria but failed to do so - He allegedly took $210,000 out of a $375,000 deal but did not honour his part of the deal
World boxing sensation, Floyd Mayweather has been sued by a Nigerian company, Zinni Media, for failing to perform after taking money from them. According to MyNewsGH.com, the boxer was contracted to appear at a number of events in Ghana and Nigeria, but failed to show up. As part of the deal, he was paid an initial amount $210,000, out of an agreed amount of $375,000.
Mayweather however failed to honour his part of the deal and as a result, it became necessary for Zinni Media to renegotiate with him. The deal was therefore renegotiated to $550,000, and once again, the pugilist breached the terms of the contract. Mayweather, having failed to turn up for the event also failed to return monies paid to him in respect of the deal. The plaintiff has therefore filed a suit in a Californian court and is requesting for $2 million in damages.
