
Eddy Blay Appointed Channel Manager of WatsUp TV
Renowned Ghanaian media personality and former YFM Programmes Manager, Eddy Blay Jr., has been appointed as the new Channel Manager of WatsUp TV, a leading Pan-African entertainment television channel.
This strategic move is set to bolster WatsUp TV's position as a premier platform for urban and youth-focused content across the continent.
Eddy Blay, affectionately known as “Blazay,” commenced his media journey at the age of 17, hosting the television magazine show “Smash TV.”
Over the years, he has become a household name, hosting a plethora of television programs including MTN Soccer Academy, 4SYTE TV, Big Brother Africa Interactive, and the Late Nite Celebrity Show on ETV Ghana. His dynamic presence has also graced major live concerts in Ghana, featuring international artists such as Busta Rhymes, Ludacris, Trey Songz, and Cardi B.
During his tenure at YFM, Ghana's leading urban radio station, Eddy served as both Programmes Manager and host of the popular “Weekend Mash-Up” show.
WatsUp TV, under the ownership of ABD Traore, has evolved from a television show into a 24-hour digital entertainment channel, catering to the Pan-African bi-lingual community.
The channel is renowned for its diverse content, including music videos, celebrity interviews, and entertainment news, and has expanded its reach across Africa.
