Real Madrid president determined to seal deal for £178m Chelsea star

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is still determined to sign a Chelsea star as his next Galactico, according to a report.

After the €112million sale of Cristiano Ronaldo to Juventus, Florentino Perez and Julen Lopetegui are looking for a replacement and Eden Hazard is the man they want, according to Spanish newspaper SPORT.

There have been claims recently that Chelsea will demand as much as £178m (€200m) if Real attempt to open talks over the Belgium international.

However, that has not deterred Perez, who is apparently willing to shelve interest in other targets to pursue the 27-year-old, who impressed at the World Cup in Russia.

New Blues boss Maurizio Sarri has declared his intention to speak to Hazard face to face to discover where his future lies, but it appears that Hazard is contemplating life after Stamford Bridge.
