Afro-dancehall And Reggae Artiste Larruso Says His Roots In Accra New Town Continue To Shape Both His Identity And His Music.

According to the musician, growing up in Accra New Town instilled resilience, determination, and authenticity—qualities that have guided his journey in the music industry.

He compared his deep connection to his hometown to how Kofi Kinaata proudly represents Takoradi wherever he goes.

“Accra New Town is where I learned resilience. It’s a community filled with diverse cultures, energy, and ambition, and growing up there played a major role in shaping the person I am today,” he said.
Larruso explained that life in the community taught him the importance of hard work, staying true to himself, and persevering through challenges.

He added that many of the stories, emotions, and experiences reflected in his music are inspired by the people he met and the life he lived in Accra New Town.

“No matter how far music takes me, Accra New Town will always be part of my identity because that’s where everything started and where I found my purpose,” Larruso stated.
