Enyo Trey Releases New Single “Forbidden Fruit”

Accra, Ghana — 21 August 2026 — Ghanaian Afro-fusion singer, songwriter and performer Enyo Trey has released her latest single, “Forbidden Fruit,” a playful and provocative record that reimagines the biblical story of Adam and Eve through a contemporary African lens.

Written by Enyo Trey and produced by Vampire, “Forbidden Fruit” takes the familiar story of temptation in the Garden of Eden and transforms it into a modern conversation about attraction, desire, intimacy and the consequences of giving in to temptation.

In the song, Enyo Trey positions herself as the forbidden fruit, playfully addressing an Adam who has already given in to temptation. The recurring line, “you chop am already,” captures the central idea of the record: once you have tasted what you were told to avoid, why pretend you do not want it?

The song blends English with Ghanaian Pidgin and playful local expressions, giving the record a distinctly Ghanaian identity while maintaining an accessible Afro-fusion sound.
