Sefa Gets Real About Going Independent
Ghanaian songstress Sefa has opened up about the realities of going independent after leaving her record label, and she didn’t hold back.
According to Sefa, “leaving a record label is like moving out of your parents’ house.” She explained that while being signed offers structure and support, stepping out on your own comes with greater responsibility and challenges.
She further shared that the transition requires artists to figure things out independently, from decision-making to managing their careers, a process that can be both freeing and overwhelming at the same time.
Sefa’s candid reflection highlights the realities many artists face behind the scenes, proving that independence in the music industry comes with both freedom and pressure.
