He beat Zylofon Music artiste Kumi Guitar, Samini and SarkCess Music record label founder, Sarkodie, to win the “Record of the Year” award with his song, “State of the Art”
His first attempt was in 2016 when he was listed for the “Best Music Video of the Year” category with “The Warning” music video.
Showing his gratitude at the award ceremony, Teephlow thanked his contenders and thanked his management and label owner, businessman and politician Papa Kwesi Nduom.
Teephlow, who recently released his hit song christened: ’Preach,’ stirred a lot of controversy*which scores of fans believe it’s a diss song to attack his colleague*, Strongman.
These two (Strongman and Teephlow) were at the final at the next Big Thing in Ghana.
The night in Accra International Conference Centre was one that would forever be remembered by the individuals who attended the event. People came from different homes to witness the event in full support and they weren’t disappointed as Sarkodie put up a charged performance. The fans roared at each song performed.
The Concert headlined by Vodafone Ghana Music Awards in collaboration with Tv3 started around 7pm with around 20,000 music lovers well prepared.
