Veryblackman Arrested By Police For Allegedly Threatening DeeOne’s Life

The Rivers State Police Command has arrested Veryblackman, a known member of the Ratel movement and brother of activist VeryDarkMan.

He was taken into custody in Port Harcourt on Saturday. The arrest is linked to an alleged threat he made against comedian and reality star DeeOne. After he failed to respond to a police invitation, he was reportedly transferred to Lagos on Sunday.

DeeOne confirmed the development on Instagram and commended the police.

“Arrested and swift to Lagos! Next time you won’t threaten someone’s life. Kudos to the Nigerian Police for doing their job,” he posted.

According to Daily Post, Veryblackman made the threat in June 2026 after DeeOne criticized VeryDarkMan online.

The statement caused a stir at the time. Many Nigerians, including celebrities like Mario Wazobia and Broda Mike, called for Veryblackman to be arrested over the death threat.
