Naija Meets SA as K.O. drops

Nigerian-South African collaborations rarely ever disappoint and K.O.’s new song, which features Runtown, looks set to continue this trend.

The track is titled “Call Me” and we first heard it over the past weekend. Earlier this year, K.O.’s future had a lost of question marks over it after the rapper left the now-disbanded Cashtime Life project, only to sign for Sony Africa.

We now have the first taste of the direction his music could be taking and if this is anything to go by, we are certainly quite impressed. “Call Me” is the latest single from K.O.’s upcoming project, set to release later this month, and his second single since signing to Sony.

The rapper explains that the next release is going to address a lot of misconceptions that people have about him. Speaking to DJ Fresh on why now was the time to reveal everything he said: "It was my time to reflect on the struggles that I faced.

Some people thought that I no longer have it (star power) and didn't see my potential as a solo artist. Others criticised me for what happened at Cashtime not knowing how I sacrificed for the artists on that label and how my own career suffered because of the time I put in to promote them. I needed to clear the air,"
