I started selling drugs at 12, shot 13 people — Rapper Bobby Shmurda reveals

American rapper, Ackquille Jean Pollard, popularly known as Bobby Shmurda, has revealed how he shot 13 people and also sold drugs since age 12.

The rapper revealed he did all these before going to prison for 6 years.

Bobby Shmurda also revealed that he has been able to turn his life around and is now an entrepreneur.

He wrote, “Me explaining how I shot 13 people, sold drugs since 12, 6years of prison and so much more  I’ve managed to turn my life around and become the entrepreneur that I am today!!!!!

“I’m going to be telling one of the best stories in #History this year #ThankGod yo daddy’s daddy ain’t even come like this #Shmurda.”

Following the rapper releasing his breakout single “Hot N—a” in 2014, he was hailed as one of the early pioneers of Brooklyn Drill Music. He was on track for superstardom before his rise was halted after being convicted on one count of third-degree conspiracy and one count of weapons possession.

The rapper copped a plea deal in September 2016 after pleading guilty to conspiracy to possess weapons and possession of a weapon for his involvement in the GS9 gang. He was initially sentenced to seven years but was granted two years credit before the sentence was handed down.

While locked up, Shmurda racked up 11 violations, including possession of a prison shiv, drug possession and fighting. He was eventually released from prison in February 2021.

Since his release, Bobby has been keeping a low profile. However, while teasing new music he allegedly berated Gunna over his RICO plea deal.

In January, the Brooklyn rapper previewed a song called “Rat N-ggas” on Instagram, which hears him calling out those who take plea deals and leave their friends behind in prison.

“Heard you snitching on one of you friends/ Took a plea deal and left your dawg in that pen, n-gga,” he raps on the track. “That pain never end/ What they played back in that courtroom playing back in his head, n-gga/ What all y’all n-ggas said.”

Before the snippet cuts out, Bobby adds: “Yea, all y’all n-ggas switch/ It’s lit, man, fuck all of you rap n-ggas/ Most of y’all some rat n-ggas/ All y’all chit-chat, n-gga.”

The incendiary track drew emotional reactions from many of Bobby’s fans as well as some of his rap peers. 50 Cent chimed in with his stamp of approval. “Oh shit Bobby might got one, I like how you said that fool!,” the G-Unit mogul replied in the video’s comment section.
