Step Right This Way for a Tour of Kim Kardashian's Massively $$$ Calabasas Home
- Yesterday Kim Kardashian just revealed she's studying to become a lawyer, and now she's giving tours of her massive Calabasas home.
- Kim showed Vogue around her house, and WOW!
Kim Kardashian just graced the cover of Vogue and spilled alllll the details about how she's studying to become a lawyer, but as an A-list hostess, she also took the time to give a mini tour of her sprawling Calabasas home during a 73 Questions episode. Seriously, if you thought you were jealous of the Kardashians' wealth before, just wait until you see Kim's house. It's like an episode of Calabasas Cribs.
The video starts out with Kanye West opening their charcoal black front door and a shot looking into their airy foray. When Kim comes out to greet the guy who is interviewing her, you can see there's a whole bunch of house to the left that sadly never makes it on camera. Boo. That's okay, though, because once you see the right side of the house, you can get a sense of what they're working with.
Once Kim's done telling the interviewer about how she wakes up at 5:45 a.m. (wow), they walk through a hallway with a giant boulder vase thing chilling in the corner to a sitting room with a white linen couch (brave) and coffee table that looks like a giant pebble.
If you look closely at the shot above, you can see that even Kim's air vents are custom. Ugh, must be nice to have so much money you don't have to deal with regular ol' vents.
Okay, here's where things get good. Kim enters a giant room with a bed and Kanye and their three kids, North, Saint, and Chicago, are all in there playing around. Kim didn't say if this was her room or not, but literally anyone would be lucky to sleep there. Like, just look at it:
And on the other side of the wall, there's a gigantic bathroom that looks out to a bunch of tall plants, which gives it a real tropical vibe.
Then, there's her living room with a huge sculpture and an unbleached Steinway piano that she doesn't use anymore because she stopped taking lessons. BTW, Kim said her home is like a "minimal monastery," which is like a big complex where monks and nuns live, work, and pray. It was also inspired by Axel Vervoordt and Kanye, naturally. For those who don't watch HGTV and flip through architectural design books all day, Axel's a Belgian architect taken with the idea of a minimalist aesthetic, so Kim's right on par with that.
Here's what looks to be her dining room and the rest of her kitchen:
And what I look like right now because I'm crying about how broke I am:
