Speaking at the premiere of her new series “Puzzled”, the actress said she does not want Ghana and the world to see her only as an entertainer.

She added that she would rather leave a legacy as someone who has enlightened society with her numerous works than just an actress.

This Lydia clarified was the motive behind the acceptance of her new role as a human right lawyer in the new series ‘Puzzled’.

“When I read the script, it gave me an opportunity to continue the work that I am doing but then in an environment where I was more comfortable. The art is not just to entertain, it is to educate as well. And so I just knew it was just about telling me, so on set I became a Lawyer.

Every episode I was arguing, I was too serious. At a point, Micheal (director) will say it’s just a film. It shows how much passion we put into it”, she said.

Lydia also noted that when she kicks the bucket one day, she wants to be remembered as an actress that educated society. ” It is nerve-racking. If you are an actor and you have done all these glossy movies and the glitz and glamour, it is a risk I am willing to take because when I die one day, yes we will all die one day. I want to be remembered for educating people not just entertaining people”, she added.

Lydia Forson has featured in a lot of movies including Scandal, SideChic Gang, Scorned, Different Shades of blue, Phone Swap and others.

She has also won awards which includes the 2009 African Movie Academy Award Nominee, the 2010 African Movie Academy Award Best Actress in a lead role and 2012 Ghana Movie Awards Best Screenplay ‘In the cupboard’.
