T-pain says AKON's brother used to perform as Akon & lip sync the songs to double up the bag

July 16, (THEWILL) – American rapper, Faheem Rashad Najim, otherwise known as T-Pain, has made a major revelation regarding singer, Aliaune Damala Badara Akon Thiam, who is popularly known as Akon.

Speaking during an interview, the All I Do Is Win hitmaker, claimed Akon used his brother, Abou Thiam, as his body double to perform at shows in the past, while he was performing elsewhere.

T-Pain claims he did this before the advent of social media and around the time that Akon released his hit single, Locked Up.

“I came up with Bou was doing shows for Akon, nigga,” the 37-year-old told DJ Akademiks, his interviewer.

The latter didn’t buy his claim though, saying, “No, stop it, that never happened.”

In response, T-Pain stressed, “Are you that naive my nigga?”

He went on to emphasise, “These nigga was getting double the shows every motherfuckin’ month because Bou would go and slip freaking … shows for Akon.

“You a trash fan if you ain’t already know that. This was happening in 2000,” T-Pain continued.

“Who would get on that stage and say he was Akon and lipsynced the motherfuckin’ lyrics as much as he could, and they would pay for that shit every time.”

The rapper then told his interviewer to get pictures of Akon and his brother up, asking: “Would you not think that was Akon in 2006?”
