Is Ghanaian rapper Strongman Emotionally Hurt Already As He May Not Win In This Year’s VGMAs?
Osei Kwaku Vincent famously known as Strongman has been in the news off late for apparently wrong reasons. Starting from the time he released ‘charcoal‘ diss song to silence his arch-rival Teephlow for his failure to recognise him as the dopest Hip-Hop emcee.
In the process, Strongman mistakenly extended his beef with Teephlow into the boundaries of ace music producer Da Hammer to describe him a liar. If you could remember, Da Hammer recently claimed that he never attempted to sign Strongman onto his record label after Strongman won ‘The Next Big Thing in GH Hip-Hop’ but rather, he was focused on Teephlow.
Fast forward, Strongman responded calling the veteran producer a liar and suggested that Da Hammer be honest about what really transpired between them during and after ‘The Next Big Thing in GH Hip-Hop’ reality show.
Although, CEO of SarkCess Music Sarkodie has apologised to the veteran music producer on behalf of Strongman. However, it’s obvious all is not well with Strongman per the recent happenings and looking into the future specifically tomorrow’s Vodafone Ghana Music Awards.
Now, it’s obvious Strongman was speaking the truth in his ‘hostile’ confrontation with Da Hammer for the past days. But then, we’re living in a society whereby children are on the losing side whenever they argue with the old. It’s in this light that Strongman was ‘forced‘ to apologise to Da Hammer.
On the other hand, Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMAs) 2018 will be happening live inside Accra International Conference Center tomorrow and Strongman feels he may not win anything. On records Strongman had a single nomination in this year’s VGMAs in Best Rapper of The Year category. He was nominated alongside Eno Barony, Teephlow, Sarkodie, Lil Shaker & Ko-jo Cue.
Meanwhile, it’s true beyond doubt that Strongman, SarkCess Music signee, will not win in his category. For the Best Rapper of The Year is between Eno Barony and Teephlow reminiscing their input in the year under review.
Don’t forget that Strongman was mad at Sarkodie and Sark Nation for his single VGMAs nomination contrary to his expectations. So, whenever Strongman thinks about such issues then it’s driving him ‘emotionally crazy’. Perhaps it’s part of the reasons why he has been fighting with Teephlow as well as music producer Da Hammer of The Last Two.
