Agona East MP donates to ailing Super OD

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East, Queenstar Pokuah Sawyer has donated some items and money to veteran Ghanaian comedian, Super OD (Asonaba Kwaku Darko) who has been ill for some time now.

The Member of Parliament presented a number of items including an electronic wheelchair, GHC1000.00 cash, together with items like sugar, rice, milk, bread, crates of eggs, tins of milo and boxes of tea bag.

 

 

The MP, Queenstar Pokuah Sawyer was touring her constituency and decided to pay a visit to Supper OD. According to her, she had heard of OD’s ill health and decided to pass by to see how he was doing.

Although happy about the MP’s visit, OD sounded very worried about his health which he said had completely taken off his job.

Super OD, rose to the prime of his acting career in ‘70’s and was also gained prominence in the ‘90’s for his comic roles in Ghanaian series, Akan Drama on Ghana Television.

He was part of the Oppong Drama Group which later became known as Osofo Dadzie Group.

Super OD is also known as one of the best stand-up comedians Ghana has ever had.
