Michael Essien Pays The Price By Supporting The LGBTQI In Ghana

Ghanaian international soccer player Michael Essien is in the hot water on twitter right now.
The former Chelsea FC star player to show his support to the LGBTQI community in Ghana, he posted an infographic on his IG page which was written "Ghana Support Equality", and he also added this a cption saying.
"We see you, we hear you, we suppoert you. Our LGBTQI plus community in Ghana"
But this support did not go well for the former black star player on Twitter, with 1.7 millions followers on the app, he lost more than 1 million of his followers in less than 24h on Twitter even though he deleted the post after.
That’s showed Ghanaian are not ready yet for any support to the LGBTQI in their country, it doesn’t matter who you are or what you’ve done for the country
Knowing that Ghana is 80% Christianity and 15% Islam religions and these 2 religions are fiercely against any form of LGBTQI
