I left my marriage before the singathon - Afua Asantewaa opens up

Ghanaian media personality and Singathon star, Afua Asantewaa, has revealed that she ended her marriage long before her widely publicized Singathon attempt.

Speaking during a recent live session, she dismissed claims that fame contributed to the collapse of her marriage. According to her, the separation happened before the Singathon event in December 2023, making it unrelated to her rise in popularity.

Afua explained that she chose to keep the situation private at the time, largely due to advice from her father, who urged her not to let the issue overshadow the major event.

She further disclosed that challenges in the marriage, including issues surrounding property ownership, contributed to her decision to leave.

Despite attempts by her husband to resolve things, she maintained that she had already made up her mind.
