Ghanaian Singer Hajia 4Reall Releases New Song Following U.S. Fraud Conviction
Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Faiz Montrage, popularly known as Hajia 4Reall, has made a return to the music scene with her latest single titled "Move." This release comes after she served a 12-month prison sentence in the United States for her involvement in a romance fraud scheme.
Montrage was sentenced on June 28, 2024, after pleading guilty to conspiracy to receive stolen money. The fraudulent activities, which occurred between 2013 and 2019, involved defrauding individuals and businesses in the U.S. In addition to her prison term, she was ordered to forfeit $216,475 and pay $1,387,458 in restitution. Following her sentence, she is to serve three years under supervised release.

In January 2025, a U.S. court approved the release of her passport to facilitate her deportation to Ghana upon completion of her sentence.
"Move" marks Hajia 4Reall's first musical release since her legal troubles began. The song reflects her resilience and determination to move forward despite past challenges. Fans have expressed mixed reactions, with some praising her return to music and others questioning the timing of the release.
Prior to her legal issues, Hajia 4Reall had established herself in Ghana's entertainment industry, known for her vibrant personality and musical talent. Her previous works include singles like "Badder Than" and collaborations with artists such as Shatta Wale and Efya.
As she navigates this new chapter, Hajia 4Reall's "Move" serves as both a personal statement and a professional comeback, signaling her intent to reclaim her place in the music industry.
