The fans were on their way to the Tamale Airport to welcome Fancy Gadam and his Nigerian counterpart, Patoranking for a mega show which was to come off on Saturday, June 30, 2018.

According to the Total Cheat hitmaker, the accident has really affected him emotionally and psychologically.

“This is the first time I have lost fans in an accident since I started by music career about a decade ago and I feel terrible that they died because of me,” he told Showbiz.

He disclosed that for 40 days, he did not grant interviews or engage in any public acts so he could mourn his fans.

“For 40 days, I had to stay away from any activities to mourn my fans because they mean so much to me. I pray such a thing does not happen again. Entertainment events were badly affected by the disaster.

As a result of the accident, a ban was placed on entertainment events in Northern Ghana on June 30.

With the lifting of the ban on all entertainment activities in the Tamale Metropolis by the end of July, Fancy Gadam is ready to stage his concert, dubbed The Return of Fancy Gadam X Patoranking.

The concert scheduled to take place on September 7 at the Tamale Sports Stadium will feature artistes such as ShowBoy, Ghally, Sky, Ataaka, Don-Sigli, Wizchild Is Rahim and Lamalee.

Fancy Gadam told Showbiz, although he is still in the ‘mourning mood’, he would try his best to entertain his fans.

“I think it is going to be mixed feelings that day because it’s been long since I performed for my fans. I know they miss me and I also miss them so I will try my best to make them happy on that day,” he said.

Fancy Gadam started his music career at the age of 12. His passion for music grew after school when he started moving from studio to studio in order to develop his sound engineering skills.

The Tamale-based musician has five albums to his credit; Kalipo, Ashili, Nawuni Yiko, Takahi and Mujahid.

Awards he has include Overall Artiste of The Year and Artiste Of The Year at the 2016 Northern Entertainment Awards (NEA).

He won the New Artiste of the Year at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) and this year, he won VGMA Song Of The Year and Hiplife Artiste of the Year.
