Obviously, it’s a La La Land season.
After grabbing 7 nominations at the Golden Globe Awards and winning all 7, the movie which opened with an estimated 136.3 million USD is up to another record breaking feat as it secures the highest number of nominations at the Oscars.
The drama musical La La Land also won 8 awards at the 22nd Annual 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards.
It also leads the BAFTA Awards with 11 nominations.

La La Land is up with 14 nominations at upcoming 2017 Oscars tying the record for most nominations received by a single film—14, the same number as Titanic and All About Eve.
Naomie Harris, Denzel Washington, Ruth Negga, Ryan Gosling, Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer are all up for solo awards.
Hosted by Jimmy Kimmel, the 2017 Oscar Awards will air on Sunday, February 26 on ABC live from Hollywood’s Dolby Theatre.
