AfroBit Concert to Launch in Malawi, with Ambition to Become an Annual Celebration of African Music, Culture and Freedom

BLANTYRE, MALAWI — A new platform celebrating Africa’s music, culture and creative freedom will make its debut in Blantyre, Malawi, on 4 December 2026, as AfroBitConcert brings together artists and audiences from across the continent for a shared cultural experience.

Under the theme “Music. Culture. Freedom.”, AfroBit aims to create a stage where Africa’s diverse musical traditions and contemporary sounds meet, giving artists opportunities to cross borders, reach new audiences and connect with the wider African entertainment industry.

The inaugural edition will feature artists, rappers, singers, DJs and performers from different parts of Africa, reflecting the continent’s rich musical diversity and growing creative influence.

More than a concert, AfroBit is being developed as an annual pan-African music and cultural platform designed to strengthen connections between artists, audiences and industry stakeholders. Its long-term ambition is to establish a recognisable gathering that celebrates African creativity, encourages cultural exchange and creates opportunities for collaboration across borders.

The decision to launch in Malawi marks the beginning of this vision, with Blantyre providing the setting for the first edition and the foundation for future celebrations across the continent.

“AfroBit is about creating something that can grow beyond a single event. Africa has extraordinary musical talent and cultural diversity, yet opportunities for artists to connect with audiences across regions remain uneven. We want AfroBit to become a platform where those connections happen, where cultures meet, and where African creativity is celebrated on a continental stage,” the organisers said.

AfroBit Concert forms part of ABC FEST, the cultural finale of Africa Bitcoin Conference 2026. The celebrations will continue 5 December 2026 with a football match and food festival, bringing together music, sport, African cuisine and community in a wider celebration of African creativity.

AfroBit is hosted by ABC LLC, organisers of the Africa Bitcoin Conference, Africa Bitcoin Policy Forum and Africa Bitcoin Conference Diaspora.

As preparations begin for the inaugural edition, corporate organisations, brands and institutions are invited to explore sponsorship and partnership opportunities to help establish AfroBit as a lasting platform for African music and culture.

Artist announcements, ticket information and further event details will be released in the coming weeks.
